Hi, there. I'm Maggie.
I founded Cultivate LifeLab because I believe emotional skills are survival skills—and we need more spaces to learn them. Whether I’m leading a class, designing a program, or writing about the human experience, my goal is always the same: to help people feel less alone and more equipped to navigate life’s challenges. I draw on a deep understanding of what's behind emotional struggles, personal experience in healing from trauma, and a foundation in lifespan development and biopsychosocial theory.
More About Me
I'm a multi-disciplinary entrepreneur, educator, and writer focused on helping people solve complex problems, build emotional skills, strengthen relationships, and create lives that feel better to live.

My background is in business and finance management, yoga therapy, psychology, and human development. In 2020, I earned a degree in Human Development & Family Studies with a focus on entrepreneurial leadership—because I wanted to build something real, something useful. My work blends problem solving savvy with research-backed methods and everyday strategies for coping, connecting, and cultivating resilience.

For decades, I’ve studied what helps people grow, heal, and stay connected through trauma, transition, and everyday overwhelm. And I’ve seen how rarely those tools make it into the hands of the people who need them most.
Cultivate LifeLab is my way of changing that. In its fullest expression, the LifeLab will offer evidence-based classes, activities, and emotional training tools that support real life—messy, beautiful, often overwhelming life. Everything I create is meant to help people feel more capable, less isolated, and more at home in themselves.

Current offerings include a proven self-harm intervention program, classes that explore communication through the lens of modern media, and a television series (in development) called Functional—a family drama that explores what emotional health actually looks like in the real world. I’m a big believer in modeling what’s possible—on the page, in the classroom, and in life. And, there is much more to come.
If you’re looking for grounded, human tools for navigating this complicated world—we’re speaking the same language.
I’m glad you’re here.
